National Book Lovers Day (Aug 9)

Yesterday was National Book Lovers Day but I completely forgot so I’m celebrating it today! 🤪 Here are some ways to celebrate.

Some celebration ideas:

Take these quizzes to find what book you should read next.

Check out books from your library, if it is open or doing curbside pickup, or check one out on a Kindle.

Read more books by your favorite author. If you’ve already read them all, reread a favorite.

Click here for some of my favorite female authors.

Try to find 3 new books to put on your To-Be-Read list that are 3 different genres, and types of books you don’t typically read.

Visit the websites or social media profiles of some of your favorite authors if they have one.

Keep loving books and spread the word about how amazing they are!

A teenager obsessed with words of all kinds. When I’m not reading or writing, I like musical theater, drawing, and painting. (she/her)

  1. Reblogged this on Words on Key and commented:

Today is National Read a Book day. I am kind of busy getting ready for virtual school, which starts in a few days, so I didn’t have time to write a whole post, but I am re-posting this one — August 9, National Book Lovers Day.
Today, I will be reading The Runaway King by Jennifer Nielsen, the second book in the Ascendance series.
