Weekly Word Nerd Challenge – Week 10

Every Sunday, I will post a word-related challenge for you to do that week. Obviously, for the quarantine I will post ones you can actually do. If you do the challenge and post your results on your blog, please link back and tag it with #wwnc.

Write a 100-word story.

100 words may seem easy, but if you have tried it before, it’s harder than it sounds. It’s very hard to write a good 100-word story that doesn’t leave questions unanswered and/or make the reader wonder. However, the 100-word stories that do are, in my opinions, the better ones, even if they’re easier. Anyway, if you have an idea going already or you want to come up with one yourself, go ahead but if you’re stuck, keep reading. I’ve sifted through some of WordPress’s daily one-word blogging prompt archives (they’re not doing it actively anymore) and have half-randomly selected some for you below.

  • Patience
  • Fact
  • Branch
  • Bubble
  • Silhouette
  • Trill
  • Inheritance
  • Viable
  • Sleeve
