Question of the Birds

I’ve come across this blog that challenges its readers to write “Three Line Tales,” where we write a story with three lines based on the photo above, then link back to the blog and tag it with “3LineTales”. So, I’ve decided to do it because even though I’m not resuming Complete the Story until next week, these are shorter and don’t take as much time. I’m not going to devote to doing them consistently, but you might see more. Today is week 221: https://only100words.xyz/2020/04/23/three-line-tales-week-221/

Question of the Birds

The birds’ elegant perches begin the view to the world to which I have not ventured.

Slow ripples roll out toward it, leaving me with the question, should I go?

The birds eye me while I ponder quietly, chin in my hands, watching an opportunity linger.
